Instagram is famous for its large crop of engaging videos and posts. With the large amount of well-crafted videos on the platform, it’s easy to stumble upon a post so inspiring, funny, or informative that you want to save it for later.
Thankfully, Instagram’s “Saved” feature lets you bookmark these digital treasures and revisit them whenever you want. Simply tap on the bookmark icon at the bottom right of the post, and it’ll be saved for you to revisit. The only problem is, “How exactly do you revisit it?”
This guide will equip you with the knowledge to locate your saved posts on Instagram quickly. We’re here to answer that age-old question, “Where do I find those saved posts?”
Accessing Your Saved Posts
The first thing to understand is that bookmarking or saving a post doesn’t download it to your device storage. You’ll still have to find those posts in the Instagram app, and an internet connection would also be needed to access them.
Here’s how to get there:
- On Your Mobile Device (Android and iPhone):
- Open the Instagram app and navigate to your profile page. You can do this by tapping your profile picture in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- Once on your profile page, look for the hamburger menu icon (the three horizontal lines) in the top right corner. Tap on it to open the “Settings and Activity” menu.
- From the menu, select “Saved.”
- On Desktop (Web Browser):
- Go to the Instagram website and log in to your account.
- Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
- From the dropdown menu, select “Saved.”
Exploring Your Saved Collections
Upon entering the “Saved” section, you’ll be greeted by your saved posts. However, Instagram offers a handy way to organize your saved content and find specific posts faster. That is through the Collections feature.
- Default “All Posts” Collection: This is where all your saved posts reside by default unless you’ve created specific collections.
- Creating Custom Collections (Mobile Only): Want to categorize your saved posts for easier access? Here’s how:
- While in the “Saved” section, tap the “+” icon in the top right corner.
- Select the posts you want to put into the collection from your saved posts.
- Give your new collection a descriptive name (e.g., “Travel Inspiration,” “DIY Projects,” “Funny Memes”). Once done, click on “Add” at the top right corner.
- When you come across a post you want to save, tap the “Save” icon below the post, and a pop-up menu will appear.
- Select the “+” sign beside the appropriate collection you’ve created to add the new post to that collection.
Navigating Your Saved Collections
Now that you’ve explored the different sections within “Saved,” here’s how to find specific posts:
- Browsing the “All Posts” Collection: This grid view chronologically showcases all your saved content, with the most recently saved posts appearing first. You can scroll through them to find the posts you want.
- Accessing Saved Collections: Tap the desired collection in the “Saved” section. That will open up a gallery of your posts in that collection, which you can browse chronologically.
Remember
The Saved Posts feature is a great way to revisit great posts on Instagram. Proper knowledge of this feature can significantly enhance your Instagram experience. Try it out.
